Where is Center, Texas?

Center is in Shelby County in Northeast Texas near the Louisiana border.  The town is 3 hours away from Houston & Dallas, TX and 1 ½ hours from Shreveport, LA.

Is Hawkeye open year round?

Yes, Hawkeye Hunting Club is open year round.  Our bird hunting season is from October 1 to mid April.  Clay shooting is available year round as is fishing on our private lakes.  The lodges are available for rent in the summer months for family reunions, corporate retreats and gatherings of friends.

Can I bring my dog?

If your dog is a trained bird hunting dog, we are glad to have him/her hunt with you.  We ask that you either keep your dog in our new kennels or crate them if they stay with you in the lodges.  We discourage bringing personal pets as a courtesy to other guests.

Can our hunting group bring its own liquor/wine?

Our TABC license requires that we only serve liquors, beer, and wines purchased by Hawkeye Social Club.  We are happy to provide you with our current wine and liquor inventory lists for your review.  Special requests are taken with sufficient advance notice.

I don’t hunt. What else is there for me to do at Hawkeye?

Clay shooting activities are available year round as is fishing on our private lakes.  Most lodges have a pool table and all lodges have games tables.  Bird watchers enjoy looking for our bald eagles, hawks, herons and many other species. With prior arrangement, our staff can take your group to Center, Nacogdoches or Shreveport for shopping and/or a casino trip.

How large a group can you handle?

We have five lodges with a total of 30 bedrooms.  Twenty rooms have two queen beds and the other ten rooms have two XL full beds.

What accommodations do you have for corporate meetings?

We have three conference rooms, one each at Lakeside, Hidden Pines and Manor (Main). Depending on table set up the rooms can accommodate from 20-40 people.
